Break and Enter
NipigonProvincial Police at Nipigon continue to investigate a break and enter in which a significant amount of tools and other items were stolen from a garage.
This incident occurred sometime between Sunday, the 23rd of September and Tuesday, the 2nd of October at a residential property on Highway 11/17, in Nipigon Twp.
Stolen were power tools consisting of two “Miller” welders, a “Hobart” plasma cutter, a “Stihl” chainsaw, a “Mastercraft” bench grinder, an “Hitachi” drill press, and other assorted tools as well as a grey “Yamaha” 9.9 hp. outboard motor, and a “Golden Eagle” compound hunting bow. The value of these stolen items is in excess of $12,000.00.
In order to enter the property police suspect that a vehicle was used to force a lock on a chain that guarded the driveway. The garage itself was entered by forcing open the door.
