Thunder Bay District Crime Stoppers would like your assistance in locating stolen paintings from a downtown north core business.Chenier Fine Arts is a local business located on Courts Street just south of Red River Road. The owner of the store has reported that two paintings have been taken from the wall of the business in the past few months.
The first painting is a Robert ROY with a value of $750.00. It is described as 12 x 12 stretched canvases and is a painting of four youths playing street hockey with a city background. On the back of the painting are the words "Les Richners De Lavile" which is French for the Riches of Life. It also has the Robert ROY signature on the back of it.

The second painting is a George D. Turia piece called Core. It is described as a 12x12 abstract mixed media on a stretched canvas.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of these paintings or who is responsible for taking them is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
